Health, Fitness, Lifestyle, Performance, Sleep

Athletes get the BEST of everything in order to be the BEST they can be at competition.  Those modalities and techniques that keep athletes young and healthy can also be applied to the general population.  Although many people would believe they don’t have the money or the resources to achieve optimal performance, I am going to go over simple habits people can do to optimize their performance and stay young.  I will be covering things like sleep, nutrition, exercise, supplementation, and also mental health.

The narrative I will be giving are accounts from my work with my mother and other clients/athletes I have worked with.

@ VOL 6 ON OCT 19, 2015

Does your lifestyle prevent you from qualifying for insurance discounts? Do you lack sufficient time for exercise or have limited access to sports facilities? Maybe you just want to keep your personal data private without having to pay higher insurance premiums for the privilege?

Unfit Bits provides solutions. At Unfit Bits, we are investigating DIY fitness spoofing techniques to allow you to create walking datasets without actually having to share your personal data. These techniques help produce personal data to qualify you for insurance rewards even if you can't afford a high exercise lifestyle.

Our team of experts are undertaking an in-depth Fitbit Audit to better understand how the Fitbit and other trackers interpret data. With these simple techniques using everyday devices from your home, we show you how to spoof your walking data so that you too can qualify for the best discounts. Our new range of desktop fitness devices are also available on this site.

Sleep: The Swiss Army Knife of Your Health

@ VOL 19 ON OCT 22, 2018

An expert in the fields of health, wealth and well-being, and admitting that these topics can be overwhelming and confusing, Joni Peddie’s first book the Fab Quotient is aligned to the self-proclaimed purpose on this planet. On a daily basis we should all be mindful of how we feel our bodies, activate our brains and behave. Jonie is busy writing her second book ‘Sleep is the Swiss Army knife Of your Health’. Besides facilitating team performance workshops and writing books, Jonnie is an avid trail and road runner with 5 Comrades and 6 Two Ocean Marathons under her belt. As a behavioral strategist her fascination lies in people and cultures which takes her and her husband Gavin to offbeat places both locally and internationally. Jonie’s pride and joy are her two daughters. Both studying and partying up a storm (apparently!) at Stellenbosch University. She misses them both desperately but at the same time is not suffering from empty nest syndrome anymore.
