From their proximity to the great barrier reef, to their culturally rich heritage, from their deep connection to their natural world, to the busting art and nightlife scene, to the city provides so much that the great land down under has to offer. Allen Weynberg learnt to paraglide in the UK in 1994.  A father of three, he has juggled his time for the last two decades and maintained some kind of presence in the air.  He now teaches full time in North Queensland and explores the wild surroundings by paraglider whenever he can escape.

East Trinity : A Jewel on Our Doorstep

Denis Walls is writer, teacher, environmental activist, member of the Save East Trinity environmental action group, and President of Cairns and Far North Environment Centre (CAFNEC).  His story spans from 1989 to the present and details the experience of the Save East Trinity group's activism in arguing for, and ultimately spearheading the restoration of East Trinity, using Tidal Change technology.  East Trinity is 740 acres of land, located 15 minutes across Trinity Inlet (by boat) from the Cairns CBD in Far North Queensland, Australia.
