Be a pioneer for the next generation

2004年加入蘇打綠樂團,總共發行10張專輯、巡迴演唱會超過百場,足跡遍佈世界各主要大城市。2017年蘇打綠宣布休團,成立「華山站貨場」,於台北舉辦過兩年的大型親子樂園「達斯克樂園」,2018年帶領藝術團隊接下台北燈節,改變了傳統燈節的結構。九月份,推動「Wow Taiwan」計畫,將台灣藝術團隊推向紐約國際藝術殿堂。2019年,致力將「曙光祭-免廢收聽」音樂節發揚光大至全台巡迴。

Afu joined “Sodagreen” in 2004, which has released 10 albums, held more than 100 concerts, and left their footprints over the major cities around the world since then.

In 2017, after winning big at Golden Melody Awards, “Sodagreen” made an announcement to take a 3-year break. Meanwhile, Afu founded the “Hua-Shan Station”, which held a large scale parent-child event ,“ Darsk Kids Wonderland” in the last two years.

In 2018, Afu led the team to take over the Taipei Lantern Festival, and changed the traditional lantern festival thoroughly. In September of the year, Afu implemented an incubator program, “WOW Taiwan”, which helps introducing Taiwanese artists into the Museum of Modern Art(MoMA).

In 2019, Afu is dedicated to raise environmental awareness by making “Reborn Festival” to become a national tour.

Combining Botanical Arts With Architecture

建築學系畢業,因空間設計需求而開啟關於植物的思考創作,重拾起成長環境的薰陶下一直以來對於自然的感受和神秘聯繫。2013年開始專注獨特植物裝置藝術的創作,並結合建築背景,透過設計案、教學、創作、產品發展,組接從建築架構、生活層面、到植物藝術的融合軌跡,從理念上不斷嘗試與傳遞,透過本質思考、現象分析、和技術研究,轉化於每一次的事件與作品的藝術化成果。

在每個喜歡的領域裡,李霽總是極力在奔跑,不偷閒也不點到為止,凡事衝破了最高極限。其當代藝術創作的靈感,也來自於此,來自每天都想過的不一樣,都在衝破極限的路上遇見新視野,帶到他的裝置作品中,試圖給這個封閉靜止的世界更多的刺激。媒體盛讚他為台灣首位將植物作為一項藝術的材料,深入它的內涵,它的微存在,以及它在世界上存在的位置之創作者。

李霽認為,人應該依附在環境裡生存,而不是總把自己放在空間的中心,反讓植物成為外一種制式的裝飾。其品牌質物霽畫BOTANIPLAN VON LEE CHI 不只進行一種美學表現,而還具有概念性,想去結合更深度的議題,跟觀看者、參參與者產生共鳴。李霽與團隊希望,「作品好玩,有革命性,輕鬆但也嚴肅,有這個品牌執著的事情,用這個品牌的創作去說話。」

李霽也是位極限馬馬拉松跑者,曾參參與內蒙、柬埔寨、新疆等百餘公里里里賽事,並取得優秀成績。目前,下一階段的極地馬馬拉松賽事安排正在規劃中。

李霽甫獲國際知名流雜誌Prestige 遴選為2017 年度四十位未屆四十歲之青年成功人士(40 Under 40)。

Lee Chi, born in Taipei in 1983, graduated from the Department of Architecture at Chung Yuan Christian University in 2007. While working on an interior design project inspired by floral elements, Lee Chi thought of his childhood years. He was reminded of a time when he was immersed in and influenced by nature. He realized his past experiences with the natural world could be a source of inspiration for new ideas. With that in mind, Lee Chi began experimenting with combining botanical arts with architecture.

In 2013, Lee Chi began to focus on developing unique botanical art installations by bringing together his background in architecture and his personal experiences in design cases, teaching, art creation, and product development. He continues to explore using botanicals under the framework of architecture, and to experiment with new ideas. His inspiration for his contemporary art comes not only from nature, but also everyday life. By reflecting upon the nature of art, analyzing society, and researching creative techniques, he is able to transform essential elements into a series of artwork which shows the insight and depth of his creative mind.

Lee Chi pushes the boundaries of his work and aspires to go beyond his own standard for excellence. He has been praised for being the first to use plants as a medium for art in Taiwan and received recognition from the internationally-known magazine, Prestige, in their 40 Under 40 of 2017 edition.

Rather than only using plants as a superficial decoration, he believes people should form a deep relationship with them. As the creative director of BOTANIPLAN VON LEE CHI, Lee Chi’s goal for the brand is to not only emphasize aesthetics, but also to create actualized works of art connecting observers with nature and societal introspection. Lee Chi and the BVLC team strive to use their creations to express this philosophy.

Lee Chi is also a ultramarathon runner, and has competed in Cambodia, Inner Mongolia, and Xinjiang and achieved outstanding results. The Deserts Race Series will be his next challenge.

As chubby as he is witty, Ozzie, a middle-aged slashie who has left his six failed business attempts behind, keeps making strides on the path to his dream. He is also known as “Principal Sweet Potato” — due partly to his bulky figure and mainly to his founding of ZA-Share, an unconventional school that is set to revolutionize education as it is.

Ozzie is also a zealous learner who is not afraid to sound clarion call for innovations and actions outside the system. One of his strongest beliefs is that art holds the key to solving social problems, as it is capable of creating social impact and thus achieving transformation. He is devoted to curating and interdisciplinary integration among cultural economy, innovative education, social design, branding and more.

The Sound of Blooming: Outdoor Art Installation by Space frames and Multi-motor Units

Based on the concept of “hybrid,” LuxuryLogico is created by four contemporary artists born in the 1980s: Chih-chien Chen, Kun-ying Lin, Keng-hau Chang, Geng-hwa Chang, known by their lighthearted style that centers on the idea of “DELIGHTFUL WEIRD-LAND.” Inspired by natural environment, tackling thoughts and ideas that filled the spectacles of contemporary society, integrating modern technology and cultivation of humanities, representing their ideas via “music,” “visuality,” “installation,” and “text,” their works of fantasies manifest in various forms and genres, including drama, movies, dance, architecture, pop music and economic behavior. Given force by the unceasing integration, LuxuryLogico comes into being.

The Story of Discovery Pavilion

廖珮珊,台北人。但跑於鄉野各地的人類學家。多重身份是一個喜歡說故事的人、展覽企劃與臺灣大型博覽會的專案負責人。國立清華大學人類所碩士畢業後,在博物館界與設計產業打滾多年,曾替卡爾吉特策劃執行「水下考古」、「科技探密」…等展覽專案。

王仲堃,1982 出生於台灣高雄,畢業於台北藝術大學美術系及科技藝術研究所。他的聲音作品具有一種音樂性,刻意把「聲音」的抽象性解放出來,轉化為較為具象的音樂。對作者而言,聲音作為一種概念的傳達,必須從對其意義及內涵理解;而音樂的情感表達能融入一種真實情境讓我們從中感受。用心理層次來看,透過聲音與音樂之間的流轉,聽者得以以理性、邏輯的方式去掌握聲音,同時以感性與體驗的方式去感受音樂,作品就是存在一種體驗式的感知,但這無非意味著聲音不能用語言翻譯,它只能成為它本來的東西。

 

Penny Liao is an anthropologist who was born in Taipei but loves to conduct field research around Taiwan. She has multiple roles, such as a storyteller, an exhibition organizer and project manager for Taiwan design Expo.

After she received her M.A degree from department of anthropology at National Tsing Hua University, she starts to execute several exhibitions for different museums and design companies such as “Underwater Archaeology” and “Science Quest” …etc.

 

Born in 1982, Taipei-based Chung-Kun WANG works across media art in the development of sound, sculpture, video, kinetic art and installation.

The sound art of Chung-Kun Wang possesses a musicality, consciously liberating the abstract nature of sound and converting it into a more concrete form of music. For the artist, sound serves as a means to convey concepts; one must start by comprehending its meaning and implications. And the emotive expression of music is able to incorporate real scenarios, which we are able to feel. Viewed at a psychological level, through the interflow between sound and music, the listener grasps the sound rationally and logically yet also feels the music viscerally and experientially. Thus, an experiential perception exists within the work. Yet this is nothing other than the implication that sound cannot be translated into language, but can only become the thing it intrinsically is. The work causes visitors to sense the presence of shapeless sounds within a space, and sounds express the materiality of the space, which has a shape. When visitors move around in the vicinity of the work, they can feel with their own bodies an aural space, which in fact comprises a dynamic sound image.

林舜龍,造型藝術家。1986 年自日本大學藝術學系以學部長賞之優異成績畢業後,再進入知名的國立東京大學美術研究所,專攻壁畫研究,將設計理念實踐於大型公共藝術空間。1991 年前往國立巴黎高等藝術學院研究一年,並取得藝術家身分之居留資格,爾後一直從事專業藝術創作。至1996 年返台後,先後在數所學校兼課任教多年,並致力於公共藝術領域。

吳書原,2004畢業於英國AA建築學院Landscape Urbanism 都市景觀學碩士,為英國皇家景觀建築師協會副會員(ALI),目前為Motif設計總監,在London及Taipei已累積多年跨國之工作資歷,包含都市、住宅開放空間及公園之規劃與設計,經歷不同類型、尺度的英國都市開發案經驗,作品更多次獲得國內外無數大獎,包括2008年參與英國萊斯特廣場國際競圖首獎(Burns+Nice)、2017年倫敦設計大獎金獎、2018台灣景觀大賞首獎等,期許以在倫敦多年之經驗,並以landscape urbanism的概念,反思傳統都市的設計操作,探討未來都市紋理與都市景觀及其附加構件之演變消長,並試圖找出未來景觀發展的契機及可能。

 

Shu-yuan Wu graduated from the Architectural Association School of Architecture MA Landscape Urbanism 2004, also an Associate member of the Landscape Institute UK (ALI), currently he is the Design director of Motif Planning and Design Consultants. He has accumulated many years of working experience in London and Taipei, including urban design, residential open space and urban planning. He also won numerous awards in Taiwan and UK , including 2008 Leicester Square International Competition,  2017 Gold Winner of London Design Awards, 2018 Taiwan Landscape Architecture Award First Prize etc.
