This week, we are traveling in part to an ancient, dried out lakebed to visit Taipei for our City Focus. Home to just under three million residents, Taipei stands as the cultural, political, educational and economic hub of its host country, Taiwan. The city is filled with culture and incredible food, as well as many unique architectural feats like the National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall and Taipei 101, the former tallest building in the world. The skyline of the city provides breathtaking views in the night like the one pictured here, with lights of all different colors that shine bright for all to see.

What's more, they are hosting their Vol. 40 event at the end of August on the 31st, you will not want to miss it!

PechaKucha Night Vol.37: TO TRAVEL IS TO LIVE

What type of "Traveler" are you?

All in the name of Travel, we walk through different corners of streets, countrysides and even all across the globe, and leave behind our trails of existence. No matter if we are just roaming aimlessly or rushing during our destinations, what catches our attention is based on our own preferences or habits.

Therefore, the way we travel and the route of our journeys thus is reflected in the facades of our life. What we fall in love with during our travels, those precious moment only belongs to ourselves when we travel. We easily reminiscence with the unique inspirations and memories that come along with every single trip. in turn, believe that each profession or passion is a reflection of our own life...

PKN Taipei in 2010

It's been a while since we've posted anything Taipei-related here at PechaKucha Daily, but this past weekend marked the city's Vol. 14, which was their fifth PechaKucha Night this year. As we wait for some photos from that event, organizer Noah Cheng sends in a few photos from this year's events, to give us a taste of the amazing attendance they've been getting.

PKN Taipei Vol. 7

After a bit of a hiatus, Taipei played host to the return of PechaKucha Night (Vol. 7) back in July, and from the looks of things, there was indeed a pent up demand for a new edition. It's fun to see the effect created by the glowing bracelets that were handed out.
