PechaKucha Night - Salt Lake City, together with Craft Lake City and Salt Lake Design Week are excited to kick-off SL Design Week. A specially curated group of presenters will be gathered from Craft Lake City's exhibitors to discuss and present ideas and thoughts about DIY, the maker movement, craft, creativity, and our community.
PechaKucha Night brings together a diverse community of professionals as well as local businesses, non profits, entrepreneurs, students and more. The idea is to connect people from a variety of backgrounds and interests and expose everyone to the great things that are happening in our city. SL Design Week is a community celebration of Salt Lake City area design. The week includes an opening reception, business and design forums, design film screenings, studio tours, exhibitions, lectures, mixers, and a closing party. SL Design week provides a forum for local designers and the general public to interact, collaborate, and learn from each other, in order to support a stronger creative community. The purpose of SL Design Week is to raise the public awareness of all design disciplines—graphic, product, interior, fashion, architecture, advertising, etc.—in Utah, and the impact design has on our communities.
