David Arenstam is a teacher and writer. He received his undergraduate degree from Bates College and earned a master’s degree in journalism from Harvard University. He teaches at Thornton Academy in Saco, where he was a Maine Teacher of the Year finalist. As a journalist, David regularly contributes articles to local newspapers, magazines, and online media companies. He recently published his debut novel, “Homecoming: A Soldier’s Story of Loyalty, Courage, and Redemption.” Two weeks after its publication, David’s novel was nominated for the 2017 William E.
