With its diverse history, abundantly beautiful natural surroundings, and the groundbreaking Nagoya Castle architecture, Nagoya offers plenty of grand landmarks for both residents and travelers. This incredible city will be hosting its 34th volume of PechaKucha Night on November 17th and we are all excited to see more amazing content from them soon. Hope to see you all there!

PechaKucha People: Masato Fujita

This week's PechaKucha Person is PKN Nagoya City Organizer, the dashing, charming, and ever charismatic Masato Fujita. Known not only for running one of Japan's most healthy PKN, he also manages his own company. Finally one can't mention Masato without acknowledging his seemingly endless collection of Hawaiian shirts!

PKN Tokyo Vol. 94 Presentations As any true beer connoisseur will tell you, all beers are not created equal. In this presentation (from PKN Tokyo Vol. 94), Shiro Yamada talks about the micro brewery he helped create to make a better beer (Nippon Craft Beer Inc.) and the "KAGUA" scented ale he's been producing. This presentation (in French, from PKN Lausanne Vol. 8) gets rather "heady," as Pierre Magistretti takes everyone on a detailed tour of the brain, and other aspects of newrobiology (the study of the nervous system). PKN Nagoya Vol. 12 Posters New on the Tumblr blog today is the poster you see above, for the upcoming PKN Nagoya Vol. 12. The event will be held on August 24 at Montage Lounge.  httpv:// Videos Dnipropetrovsk's PKN Vol. 2 was yesterday (or is possibly still happening as we write this), and organizer Volodymyr Nedogoda has shared the video you see above, to give us an idea of what the city's Vol. 1 -- held back in May -- was like.  Calendar There are two events on tap for today (August 1): PKN Glasgow Vol. 9 and PKN Azores Vol. 3. Tomorrow gets a bit busier, with the following three events: PKN Winter Harbor Vol. 6, PKN Springfield, IL Vol. 8, and PKN Victoria Vol. 10.

Peace Graphics

Peace Graphics Let Hidekazu Hirai (of Peace Graphics) bring you on a tour of his design work, running through what inspires him to produce what he does. The presentation is in Japanese, but as you'll see, it's a visual feast of interesting Japanese graphic and packaging design. It was recorded at PechaKucha Night in Nagoya Vol. 10.

PKN Nagoya + Global Cities Week

PKN Nagoya + Global Cities Week Nagoya will take part in the Global Cities Week with its PechaKucha Night Vol. 10, as part of "Creative Design City Nagoya." The event is set for February 23, and you'll find more details (in Japanese) on the official event page.

PKN Nagoya Vol. 7

It's been quite a while since we've gotten a good look at a PechaKucha Night in Nagoya, and so we were quite happy when organizers sent in a few photos from their recent Vol. 7. As you'll see, the event was held outdoors, and so we thank everyone who braved the cold weather to take in the presentations. That's some terrific lighting as well!
