PKN Williamsburg Vol. 1 Presentations Williamsburg is known for its historic districts, and especially the popular Duke of Gloucester Street. In this presentation by PKN Williamsburg organizer Dale Weiss (from the city's Vol. 1), we are shown a whole other part of the city that is usually hidden behind gates. Maxim Zirin is a TV producer. Together with a reporter and a cameraman he went to Chukotka to shoot a piece about how local people hunt whales for a weekly programme on Russian's NTV. Chukotka is the northeastern extremity of Asia, in the northern part of the Russian Far East. Please note that some of the images included in the presentation (in Russian, from PKN Moscow Vol. 10) are graphic. PKN Nashville Vol. 7 Posters We have a few new posters on the Tumblr blog today, starting with the 7-11 inspired example that you see above, for tonight's PKN Nashville Vol. 7 -- held on 7/11, get it? Also up today are posters/flyers for PKN Kansas City Vol. 11, PKN Cape Town Vol. 17, PKN Warsaw Vol. 6, and PKN Banja Luka Vol. 1. PKN Marseille-Provence Vol. 19 Photos We have two photo galleries to share today, the first for this past Saturday's PKN Marseille-Provence Vol. 19, which also marked the series 5th anniversary -- which explains why the crowd is holding a celebratory candle in the photo above. We had a tiny peek at Mallorca's Vol. 1 last week, but today we have a more complete gallery to share.

Calendar As we mentioned earlier, PKN Nashville Vol. 7 is happening tonight, and then tomorrow you can look forward to a packed evening: PKN St. Louis Vol. 9, PKN Regensburg Vol. 9, PKN Blue Mountains Vol. 2, PKN Wakefield Vol. 6, PKN Galway Vol. 7, PKN Blue Hill Vol. 4, and PKN Kyiv Vol. 8.

PKN Marseille-Provence Vol. 18 Marseille took part in our Global Cities Week with its PechaKucha Night Vol. 18, and here are a few photos from the event, with much more to see in this Facebook gallery. More...

PKN Marseille Vol. 16 on the Beach That beautiful imagery you see above? That's where this past weekend's PechaKucha Night in Marseille-Provence Vol. 16 was held (La cabane du Roucas). This is just a tease (taken by Greg Hessman), and we'll soon be sharing photos from the event itself.

PKN Marseille + Inspire Japan Marseille has done a lot to contribute to our global Inspire Japan efforts -- not only did they hold an all-day event that attracted over 900 attendees throughout, it's also the city that raised the largest amount of money for the cause. Here's a video report on the event, to give you a better idea of how it all went down.

Inspire Japan Graphics from Marseille We've already posted details on Marseille's involvement in the Global PechaKucha Day - Inspire Japan event -- yes, there will be a PechaKucha Night on the 16th, and you'll find all the details in this post -- but we just found this great collection of Inspire Japan-related graphics that were created by Eric Bediez, that we really wanted to share.  Inspire Japan Graphics from Marseille Inspire Japan Graphics from Marseille Inspire Japan Graphics from Marseille

PKN Marseille-Provence + Inspire Japan Marseille-Provence is taking part in the Global PechaKucha Day - Inspire Japan event on April 16 with a very packed all-day event that will take place at the "Les Grandes Tables de la Friche Belle de Mai" restaurant, with the PechaKucha presentations starting from 20:20. We're including the press release (in French), and here's also the Facebook event page. More...

PKN Marseille-Provence Vol. 12

As we posted the other day (which linked to the event's program), PechaKucha Night in Marseille-Provence Vol. 12 was a special outdoor event, held in conjunction with I Park Art. We include here a few photos from the special evening -- there's a ton more to see in this Facebook gallery, including many more shots of presenters' shoes, which we find intriguing in and of itself.

PKN Marseille-Provence + I Park Art

The next PechaKucha Night (Vol. 12) in Marseille is just around the corner -- it happens this Thursday, September 30 -- and it'll be held outdoors in back of the Opéra. It's also teaming up with I Park Art, so expect an afternoon and night of artistic delights. You can view the entire program for the event here.

What does a PechaKucha Night in Marseille look like? This video round-up of last month's Vol. 10 (held February 26) gives you a pretty good idea. Also, organizer Sarah Carriere-Chardon has put together an album of photos from the event up on Facebook -- and if you want to stay updated on all things PKN Marseille, make sure to register for the newsletter on the official city page, as well as check in on the Facebook group.

One of the presenters at last week's PechaKucha Night in Marseille Vol. 9 was art director and street artist Cedric Malo (TABAS). We're including here 10 images from his PKN presentation, but here's also a link to a video that features his graphic design work.
