HIV and AIDS remain a significant health issue.  There are many methods that we use in public health to understand and intervene in the HIV epidemic, but it is difficult to determine the effectiveness of one strategy over another.  To tackle this issue, Ginger McKay has incorporated simulation modeling as part of her dissertation work.  Her hope with this work is to suggest better ways to structure the public health system so that the services provided for HIV prevention are more strategic, effective and efficient.
