A Journey Towards Unity

PRESENTED ON MAR 01, 2018
IN MANCHESTER @ VOL 21

After experiencing meeting, interviewing, collaborating, and working with some inspiring individuals in Japan, Hamid Shahi decided to reach out to his friends to initiate a global collaborative community with other amazing creative people who are interested in joining together and contributing to projects in pursuit of a higher purpose.

At Unify Design Art, we believe everyone is creative and we think of designers and artists as people who exhibit the attitude, approach and abilities of forward thinking. We believe that creators around the globe can support and inspire each other to make positive change in their local communities.

For us it’s not a question of thinking or doing, but what to think about and how to do it through unified systems and strategies.

A Creative Journey

BY TRACEY MOWATT
@ VOL 6 ON JUN 28, 2016

"Why, today, are children handed a piece of paper with Math, English and Science and nothing about who they are and why they’re unique?"

In A Creative Journey from PechaKucha Night St Neots Vol. 6, Artist and creative Tracey Mowatt shares about the emotive and deeply personal community art project called Vir2oso. Mowatt has been been working on Vir2oso for a year since feeling great frustration from the UK's uncompromising education system which did not provide ample space for creativity and exploration of self.

This was "PechaKucha of the Day" onb Monday, July 18th, 2016.

Unity Ride 2017

BY JONATHAN WILLIAMS
@ VOL 24 ON AUG 17, 2017

Who bicycles 3,200 miles in 35 days? Andre Block and Jonathan Williams do. The pair set off from Oceanside, California on Memorial Day and ended in Washington, DC on the 4th of July. All the while filming a documentary film.
Why? To promote love and unity in this divided nation. You see, one is liberal, the other conservative. The differences don’t end there. The journey was long and challenging, but also a lot of fun. The two inspired everyone they came in contact with, worked as a team despite their differences, and experienced this beautiful country from an entirely different perspective.
