ISLAMABAD

BACK TO CITY

Here's what you can expect from a PechaKucha Night. PechaKucha is Japanese for the sound made when people are chit chatting. PechaKucha 20x20 is a simple presentation format where you show 20 images, each for 20 seconds. The images advance automatically every 20 seconds and the speaker talks alongside them. This brilliant method of presentation, devised by Architects Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham, keeps presentations short, simple and interesting. PechaKucha Nights are informal and fun gatherings where creative people come together and share their work  in the PechaKucha 20x20 format.

Islamabad has a lot to offer in terms of creative ideas and people. We are very excited to give this opportunity to the citizens of the city by providing a platform for local artists and creative thinkers to express their ideas, showcase their work and meet likeminded people. It’s also an opportunity for the local community to know all the amazing work being done here and the wonderful people behind it. Islamabad is now one of over 1000 official PechaKucha cities worldwide and Kuch Khaas hopes to host regular events to highlight the creativity of our city.

So bring plenty of visiting cards and drop in for a cup of tea. Be part of an international community and who knows, you could be one of the next presenters.
