Queering Art

@ VOL 6 ON SEP 27, 2018

Chris Timmins is a young queer artist from Galashiels. Their art focuses on messages of queer acceptance, body positivity, and taking a stand for what you believe in, and there is a strong activist influence on everything that they do. They make art in a variety of mediums, including badge and zine making, as well as painting and screen printing on clothing. Their badges and zines are handcrafted through finding words and images in magazines, meaning that everything they makeis one off and unique.  Chris also runs workshops to teach others about badge and zine making and ensure that art is accessible and inclusive for all, regardless of a person’s status or background.
