What is Painting?

PRESENTED ON FEB 25, 2016
IN EL PASO @ VOL 12

El Paso based painter PACO IRIGOYEN discusses his exploration of painting in three dimensions.  Paco’s presentation guides the audience with topics every artist should consider when creating something — including ideas of Design, Materials and Structure. Referencing how being knowledgeable of the tools and having a degree of respect for them with bring forth a successful piece of Art.

Paco shows pieces from his research that show the evolution of a Painting, while engaging the viewer with imagery and brushwork. In such research, the mission is to successfully merge structure and concept to appeal to the audience and ignite a conversation with the Painting and those interacting with it.
