Life Lessons from Walking 800km

@ VOL 1 ON DEC 06, 2018

Leanne Morrison started traveling in 2010 after being inspired by Elizabeth Gilbert’s, Eat Pray Love. During two years of adventures, many places touched her heart – including the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage in Spain. Coming back to Canada, Leanne Morrison worked on an organic farm in Prince Edward County and then a firm on Bay Street, Toronto. After tragedy struck and her sister, Nicole, passed away from leukemia, Leanne moved to Wasaga Beach. Ready to call this area home, Leanne started a non-medical senior care company, Harmony is Home, which then transformed into Clear My Clutter. Armed with a lot of experience in change and life transitions, Leanne is passionate to help downsize, declutter, and get ready for moving.

Life Lessons from Walking 800km

Back in 2011 Leanne walked 800km as a Pilgrim on the Camino de Santiago in Spain. Five weeks of hostels, blisters, aches, new friends, downpours and beautiful scenery taught her some powerful life lessons that stick with her today. The pilgrimage was part of a 2-year travel odyssey to rediscover life after getting divorced.

This presentation is about my local music project,, which is an online music hub that shows off the musical happenings in the Georgian Bay area.  I want this presentation to show how Route 26 has helped me grow as a creative and musical individual while helping me plant roots in a new community.

Ridiculously Happy Love Stories

@ VOL 1 ON DEC 06, 2018

I wrote on the family piano as a child, I play a lot of baseball, I drink loose leaf tea like its going out of style, and it takes me about 5 minutes to change out of my ‘real clothes’ and into my sweatpants when I get home. This is what makes me ridiculously happy. But once upon a time I thought I wasn’t photogenic, and I find many of my clients think the same thing. Then I realized that no amount of dieting, makeup, or hairspray makes me look better than I do when I’m laughing hysterically. And so I’ve made it my goal to help my clients and the people around me to see themselves the way their family and friends do: a genuinely, ridiculously happy, and loved person.

Ridiculously Happy Love Stories

I never met my mother’s parents. They both passed before I was born. But thanks to many photographs, I can put faces to the stories my mother has told me. That’s what this presentation is about. I’ll be sharing a selection of super simple love stories that will never be told in the movies. These are the, behind-the-scenes moments that stick out to the people I work with. The bits and pieces that outsider might gloss over, but that mean everything to the people living the moment.

Through Elijahs' Eyes

@ VOL 1 ON DEC 06, 2018

Elijah McCaffrey is the owner of HELP First Aid, a premier training facility in the Georgian Triangle. Their training will make a real difference in your Health & Safety Program! They not only teach compliance first aid, but go many steps further. They teach first aid in such a way that you will feel confident if the need arises to test your skills.

Through Elijahs Eyes

Elijah has been taking photographs since the early 90's in high school.   He photographs things we see every day, in such a way that we may not recognize them.  Elijah brings out the minor details that we tend to overlook during our busy lives.

Waiting in some cases hours, for that perfect opportunity to present itself is a stark contrast to the urgency required responding to emergencies as a firefighter, professional ski patrol and event medical responder.

Elijah prefers to photograph "in situ", without altering the natural environment, or normal process. he also prefers to minimize post-processing to "minor tweaks"
