Baking In Goodness

PRESENTED ON DEC 12, 2018
IN CHICAGO @ VOL 48

Janet Ginsburg is a silo-skipper. It took years to admit and even longer to realize this was a rare, good and useful thing to be. She admires those who seem to know exactly what they want to do with their lives, but is more than content to flit about with a glorious lack of discipline across an array of broad interests.

In her presentation, Katerina Triantos talks about the risks attached to global climate change at the regional and local level.

The increasingly severe risks that occur as a result of global climate change cannot be mitigated by current practices and are offsetting more local attempts of controlling for risks.

Time for Action on Climate Change

BY LAURA CHAP
@ VOL 16 ON APR 12, 2019

Time is running out for effective action on climate change!  In a brief (geologically speaking) period of time, humans have managed to rapidly change the earth’s temperature.  We have another 12 years before the damage is so extensive it will be impossible to reverse over our lifetime or that of the next generation. Carbon pricing is an effective first step on climate change, and as citizens it is an effective use of our time to advocate for it.
