Kiedyś to byli fany, czyli jak Darth Vader odwiedzał Bydgoszcz

PRESENTED ON SEP 28, 2018

In a galaxy far far away... Michał Rożek discovered his passion and came back to the very heart of Kujawsko-Pomorskie to tell us about it.

In this presentation, you will discover how the Star Wars fandom was first established in our region, how it became part of our society and how many different points of views around the Star Wars movement are nowadays.

Heroes and Heroines

BY JON TORRENS
@ VOL 3 ON SEP 22, 2015

"Carrie Fisher was 18 when she starred in Star Wars. She owns that film. She commands all the other characters. [She's] a female character that doesn't have to become masculine to be in charge"

In Heroes and Heroines from PechaKucha Night St. Neots Vol. 3 Jon Torrens passionately shares about the heroes and heroines from the big screen (and some from the small screen) that have inspired him over the years, highlighting their strengths but not over looking their flaws. The last hero he features is his greatest, adding a sweet twist to a solid line-up of true greats.

This was "PechaKucha of the Day" On Tuesday, December 22nd, 2015.

1980

BY GREG MILO
@ VOL 9 ON NOV 03, 2017

During the presentation, Greg explain that year through the lens of a seven-year old (his age at the time) and how he came to understand the world in much more complicated terms, rather than black and white, good and bad, right and wrong. Many events that shaped Greg into the person he is today occurred during this year, including Darth Vader's defeat of the rebels, the constant appearing of the Ayatollah Khomeini on my television, JR Ewing's getting shot by someone, the death of John Lennon, and the death of my uncle, which his father was later found to be responsible for.
