Join us for an evening of presentations about people who started, work with, or volunteer at non-profit organizations. Here are our presenters with their presentation descriptions.
Kit Darling - Aggieland Pets with a Purpose
“Aggieland Pets with a Purpose”
I will be talking about how our trained pets share their unconditional love to enhancing the physical, social and emotional well-being of members of our community. Aggieland Pets With A Purpose is a non-profit volunteer organization.
Judy LeUnes – Wienerspiel
“How Wiener Dogs, Bras, Books, and High Fashion Help BCS”
This energized and fun presentation will focus on some successful non-profit fundraisers in our community and the presenter's vision of her new Non-Profit Organization, Wienerspiel and how even more animals, children, and families in our area can be helped.
Kyle Dolliver – Ryan’s Challenge
Kyle started this organization with his wife to save their son Ryan’s life. Their mission is to raise awareness and fund research to cure vascular Ehler-Danlos Syndrome and their vision is to create a world where vascular Ehlers-Danolos Symdrome no longer has a negative impact on children and families.
Margot Newcomb - Mobilit Worldwide Brazos Valley
I am a rule follower. I love a law, guideline, rule, commandment, and an instruction. In fact, the PechaKucha presentation appeals to me because it has specific instructions. I will discuss my love of a good edict and how it has led to over 20 years of volunteering.
Madeline Zwicke - B/CS Habitat for Humanity
“Building More than Houses”
From a young age, volunteering has been important in Madeline’s life and she enjoys connecting with the community and doing purposeful work. She believes that there’s nothing more rewarding then seeing the faces of all the families we have served when they receive the keys to their new home. Co-presenter will be Carl Orozco.
