Laura Reid is a recent Fashion Technology graduate of Heriot-Watt University, School of Textiles in Galashiels. Currently based in Edinburgh, Laura has experience in both Fashion and Textiles through gaining her degree as well as an HND in Textiles. Her Honours Project looked into creating a high street level collection that was designed with disability in mind. Working with the charity Bobath Scotland, the collection used different construction and design techniques to allow the wearer to dress easier whilst keeping the collection at a high street price.
Laura is currently a Garment Technology assistant at the outdoorwear brand Keela. The brand offers outdoorwear built on the foundation of Innovation, Quality, Technology and has been used for decades by Emergency Services and Mountain Rescue teams.
